About The Trip
Your Itinerary
DAY 1 HOTEL CHECK IN AT 3PM
This time we’re staying at the Carmarth Hotel, a hip and funky surfer spot right on Fistral Beach. We love this place because of the chilled out vibe, the super friendly staff and of course, those sea views!
DAY 2 BODYBOARDING
Let’s kick off the weekend with a gigantic splash as we head to Fistral Beach for some bodyboarding! This was such a hit on last year’s Newquay trip, we thought we’d do it all over again in 2021. One of the awesome guides at Newquay Activity Centre will show us the ropes before we take the plunge and will be on hand to take some epic actions pics! The great thing about bodyboarding is that it’s super easy to pick up and anyone can do it! You’ll feel utterly refreshed and invigorated after. Just look at the smiles on those faces!
DAY 3 CORNISH PASTY MAKING
As we’re all about local experiences, we thought this would be the perfect chance to learn how to make Cornish pasties! We’ll all roll our sleeves up and get stuck in to making one of Cornwall’s much loved foodie delicacies. Afterwards, we’ll sit down together and taste our culinary creations, along with some refreshing alcohol-free drinks! Vegans welcome!
DAY 3 SEA ARCH ALCOHOL-FREE GIN TASTING
Before heading out to dinner for some well-deserved nosh, we’ll be joined by the lovely Sarah Yates, founder of Sea Arch, for a tasting session of their locally inspired alcohol-free gin. Sarah will give us the low down on this refreshing alcohol-free tipple and we’ll get to try a few different ways to enjoy Sea Arch.
DAY 3 THE LAST SUPPER
What better way to celebrate our last night with some seriously tasty local eats at one of our absolute favourite restaurants in Newquay, 12 Beach Road. The gang were blown away at the awesomeness of this joint last year. The ambience is super relaxed and the mocktails are pretty mindblowing.
DAY 4 BEACH WALK OR SEA SWIM BEFORE CHECK OUT
What better way to finish off an epic weekend than with a blustery walk on one of Newquay’s beautiful beaches or, if you’re feeling brave, a plunge into the salty goodness! Afterwards we’ll check out and say our goodbyes. Hopefully, it won’t be farewell forever!
In case of cancellation due to Covid-19 restrictions, all travellers will be entitled to a full refund.
Important Notes
ACCOMMODATION
Although we usually offer individual rooms at an extra cost, twin sharing options are now only available for this trip. This is due to the fact that room availability is very limited this year because of Covid and the increase in UK staycations.
WEATHER
This is the UK! Anything is possible. Although we will be in the warmest part of the UK, the weather as many of you know, can be unpredictable. We suggest you bring a rain coat for walking outdoors and some layers for our night time jaunt in New Quay.
TRANSPORT
You should make your own way to Newquay via train, bus, plane or car. We’ll aim to meet at approximately 6 pm on Thursday.
FOOD
All organised foodie activities are vegetarian and vegan friendly. There will also be various options in the restaurants and cafes that we eat out in.
