DAY 1 MEET IN HOTEL AT 3.30 PM

After you make your way to Dunkeld (see transport info below) and check-in at 3 pm at the Royal Dunkeld Hotel, we’ll meet in the hotel lobby at 3.30 pm and head outdoors for some kombucha tasting.

DAY 1 KOMBUCHA TASTING

What better way to enjoy the summer sunshine than with a refreshing alcohol-free tipple in the great outdoors and a stroll through “Big Tree Country”. First, we’ll head to the grassy banks of the River Tay for some mouthwatering kombucha and fresh countryside air before taking a walk along the river where we’ll check out the famous Birnam Oak, mentioned in Shakespeare’s Macbeth!

Real Kombucha is a premium kombucha fermented as a sparkling wine alternative from exquisite loose-leaf teas. It’s no doubt one of our personal favs and a huge hit in the booze-free community. We can’t wait to share it with you!

DAY 1 EVENING MEAL

We’ll finish off the day with some delicious local grub at one of Dunkeld’s many awesome foodie joints. You’ll get a chance to get to know your fellow Lucid Trippers and catch up on some well-needed socializing.

DAY 2 RIVER TUBING

After breakfast, we’ll check out of our hotel and go river tubing! You’ll experience one of Scotland’s most scenic spots from a rubber dingy as we take a leisurely float down the River Tay. River Tubing experiences are unique to central Scotland and the best thing is you can do it without prior experience. You’ll have the chance to travel down some of the most amazing parts of Scotland and see the country from a totally different perspective while getting your adventure fix.

DAY 2 CHOCOLATE TREATS AT THE HIGHLAND CHOCOLATIER

Let’s recharge after our river adventure at the famous Highland Chocolatier for some delectable chocolate treats. Founded by award-winning Master Chocolatier, Iain Burnett, Perthshire’s very own chocolate factory and Chocolate Lounge is a must-see when visiting the area. After trying some of the chocolate goodies, you’ll be able to browse the chocolate shop for some handmade chocolates to take home. Some limited vegan and gluten-free options are available.

DAY 2 FAREWELL

It’s time to say goodbye as we take the minibus to Perth where you can continue on your homeward journey. We hope to see you again on a future We Love Lucid trip!

Hotel accommodation is on a twin room sharing basis.

This is Scotland people! Although it is summertime, don’t be fooled! Anything is possible. We suggest you bring a rain coat for walking outdoors and some layers for nighttime. One thing’s for sure, we’re not going to let the weather stop us from having a total blast! We will send you full details regarding suitable clothing for river tubing closer to the time.

You should make your own way to Dunkeld for no later than 3 pm for the hotel check-in on Saturday. The Royal Dunkeld Hotel is a leisurely 15-minute walk from Dunkeld & Birnham Train Station. Check out the map here. On Sunday, we’ll take a minibus straight from the Highland Chocolatier to Perth Train Station. We aim to be in Perth by the latest 2.30 pm. From there, you can make your onward journey home. We’ll create a Whatsapp group a couple of weeks before the trip where you can find others travelling from your area.
