DAY 1 RONDA NIGHT TOUR

Let’s explore Ronda by night with our enthusiastic local guide Miguel. Miguel will take us to some of Ronda’s best kept secrets including a recently discovered archaeological site. We’ll also get to see the beautifully illuminated Tajo bridge from the gorge as Miguel gives us the low down on how this jaw-dropping structure was created.  Miguel will finish by explaining the unique geology of Ronda. This is not your average city tour!

DAY 2 MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDE TO SETENIL

What better way to check out Ronda and its beautiful surroundings in springtime than with a refreshing mountain bike ride! We’ll start from Ronda and take a leisurely ride with expert local guides to Setenil de las Bedodegas with its mind-blowing cliff formations. There we’ll have lunch (not included) and admire this truly unique spot. This trek requires no prior mountain biking experience, but a general level of fitness is a must. There is also the option of taking an electric bike if you fancy an easier ride.

DAY 3 ARTISAN GOAT’S CHEESE MAKING

Let’s make Payoyo goat’s cheese the traditional way with Alex, a local artisan goat’s cheese maker! The Payoyo goat is a mountain goat indigenous to the region. Known for its hardiness, it is roams freely and this is thought to be the reason why it produces such high-quality milk. We’ll all get stuck in and make our own goat’s cheese using traditional methods. Afterwards we’ll taste some of the varieties of Payoyo cheese. You will even be able to go home with your home made creation.

DAY 4 HIKE AND LOG CABIN FEAST

Let’s take a hike in the Sierra de las Nieves where we’ll climb to 1500m giving us spectacular views the breathtaking surroundings. Local guides Clara and JuanFra will share their in-depth knowledge about the flora and fauna of the area. Afterwards, we’ll head back to the log cabin for a homemade feast prepared using homegrown seasonal produce.

It’s time to say goodbye as our adventure comes to an end! The hotel check-out time is 12pm. We have no activities planned for the last day. Depending on your flight time, there’s the option of going for a walk in the beautiful Tajo valley, sipping coffee while you watch the world go by or checking out Ronda’s many sights.

Untitled design (37).png

You can fly to either Malaga or Seville airport. Take a 20-minute airport shuttle to Malaga or Seville bus station then take a public bus to Ronda. There are 4-5 buses each day and they both take approximately 2 hours. The price is approximately 12 Euros, one-way. The route is very easy and none of our travellers this year had any problems. Once you book, we will send you all the info that you need to get here. You also have the option of joining a WhatsApp group for your trip. That way, you can coordinate with the other travellers and travel together if you wish. It’s all part of the adventure!

FOOD

Untitled design (49).png

All organised foodie activities are vegetarian friendly. If you have any specific dietary requirements, let us know on the booking form and we will try to accommodate you. It is worth pointing out that Ronda is a mountain town and therefore a little behind the big cities when it comes to alternative diets. Vegan options in restaurants can be limited so please don’t expect creative and diverse vegan dishes. Eating out is fairly inexpensive in Ronda. Tapas range from 1 Euro to 5 Euros each. A coffee costs 1-2 Euros. In the evenings, we will eat out together in some of our favorite joints. When lunch is not included in the activity of the day, you can take your pick of great local eateries. At the beginning of the trip, we will give you some suggestions. Breakfast is included in the price.
