About The Trip
Your Itinerary
DAY 1 CORNISH PASTY MAKING EXPERIENCE 3PM
Once you’ve settled into your room at the Great Western Hotel, we’ll head over to Lusty Glaze Cooking School for a bespoke Cornish Pasty making experience with an executive chef. We’ll roll our sleeves up and get stuck into cooking some authentic Cornish grub before sitting down together to enjoy our culinary creations. We’ll also have the pleasure of tasting some local alcohol-free Binary Botanical beers and kombucha courtesy of Boucha! This activity is also suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
DAY 2 HERITAGE KAYAK TOUR OF THE COAST
Time to fill our lungs with fresh sea air! We'll take a 2-hour kayak tour of the caves and caverns of Newquay's Coast. Our experienced guides at Newquay Activity Centre will share stories of shipwrecked sailors, pirates and smugglers. The great news is that the sea temperature is at its highest in October. Winning! No experience is necessary for this activity but you must be able to swim. In the case that the weather stops us from kayaking, an alternative activity will be arranged.
SEA ARCH ALCOHOL-FREE GIN TASTING
Before heading out to dinner for some well-deserved nosh, we’ll be joined by the lovely Sarah Yates, founder of Sea Arch, for a tasting session of their locally inspired alcohol-free gin. Sarah will give us the low down on this refreshing alcohol-free tipple and we’ll get to try a few different ways to enjoy Sea Arch.
DINNER!
After our Sea Arch aperitif, we’ll head out into Newquay for some unforgettable eats. The restaurant has yet to be confirmed but, don’t worry, you won’t be disappointed. We’ve got Newquay peeps on the inside!
DAY 3 BEACH WALK AND CHECK OUT
What better way to finish off an epic weekend that with a blustery walk on one of Newquay’s beautiful beaches before checking out of the hotel. Hopefully, it won’t be farewell forever!

You should make your own way to Newquay. A few travellers will be arriving the night before so as not to rush around the following day. The choice is yours but please aim to be in Newquay for 2pm on Friday.
