Your Itinerary

DAY 1 TAPAS AND CHAT

Once you’ve settled into your hotel room, we’ll meet for welcome drinks at around 5pm. After that, you’re free to take a rest or have a walk around Ronda before we meet again for tapas in the evening. As we have no group activities planned on the first evening, let’s take the opportunity to get acquainted over dinner!

DAY 2 HIKE IN CHESTNUT FOREST

We’ll go for a brisk and refreshing autumn hike in the stunning chestnut forest of the Genal Valley where the changing colours of the leaves is a truly spectacular sight. We’ll breathe in the crisp autumn air and let nature do its work. After we’ve built up an appetite, we’ll head back to Ronda for some tasty tapas at one of our favorite haunts.

DAY 3 HOME COOKING EXPERIENCE

Keeping with the autumn theme, this time around we’ll cook up some delicious treats using chestnuts and other seasonal produce . Paty our savvy home cook will show us the ropes as we get stuck in to making an autumn feast of epic proportions. Afterwards, we’ll all sit down together and enjoy our culinary creations. All dishes are vegetarian friendly.

SPANISH GUITAR PERFORMANCE

In the evening, we’ll get our culture fix as we head to a Spanish and Classical guitar performance by Paco Seco. Paco is an internationally-acclaimed guitarist and composer from Seville. He makes his art look effortless and his performances are truly awe-inspiring. .

We’ll head to the charming traditional white village of Zahara de la Sierra for coffee or drink of your choice in the late autumn sunshine. We’ll take a walk up to the old Moorish fortress, where we’ll get 360 degree views of the surrounding landscape and turquoise lake. Afterwards, we’ll make our way down to the olive press where we’ll get a tour of the olive grove and learn how the olive oil is made. We’ll finish the experience with a tasting of a variety of olive oils produced in the press, accompanied by some crisp fresh bread of course!

DAY 5 FAREWELL

It’s time to say goodbye as our adventure comes to an end! The hotel check-out time is 12 pm. We have no activities planned for the last day. Depending on your flight time, there’s the option of going for a walk in the beautiful Tajo valley, sipping coffee while you watch the world go by or checking out Ronda’s many sights.

You can fly to either Malaga or Seville airport. Take a 20-minute airport shuttle to Malaga or Seville bus station then take a public bus to Ronda. There are 4-5 buses each day and they both take approximately 2 hours. The price is approximately 12 Euros, one-way. The route is very easy and none of our travellers this year had any problems. Once you book, we will send you all the info that you need to get here. You also have the option of joining a WhatsApp group for your trip. That way, you can coordinate with the other travellers and travel together if you wish. It’s all part of the adventure!

FOOD

All organised foodie activities are vegetarian friendly. If you have any specific dietary requirements, let us know on the booking form and we will try to accommodate you. It is worth pointing out that Ronda is a mountain town and therefore a little behind the big cities when it comes to alternative diets. Vegan options in restaurants can be limited so please don’t expect creative and diverse vegan dishes. Eating out is fairly inexpensive in Ronda. Tapas range from 1 Euro to 5 Euros each. A coffee costs 1-2 Euros. In the evenings, we will eat out together in some of our favorite joints. When lunch is not included in the activity of the day, you can take your pick of great local eateries. At the beginning of the trip, we will give you some suggestions. Breakfast is included in the price.
