Your Itinerary

DAY 1 TAPAS AND CHAT

Once you’ve settled into your hotel room, we’ll meet for welcome drinks at around 5pm. After that, you’re free to take a rest or have a walk around Ronda before we meet again for tapas in the evening. As we have no group activities planned on the first evening, let’s take the opportunity to get acquainted over dinner!

DAY 2 TRADITIONAL BREAD MAKING

We’ll head to a nearby village where we’ll learn how to make traditional bread in a wood-fired oven. We’ll learn about how the secret recipes are passed down through generations and what it’s like to be an artisan baker in the village. While our very own creations are baking in the oven, we’ll have a tasting of a few varieties of bread from the bakery. Of course, there will be some locally-produced olive oil at hand to compliment the tasty baked goods! You’ll even be able to take away some fresh bread as a foodie souvenir.

SPANISH GUITAR PERFORMANCE

We’ll get our culture fix in the evening as we head to a Spanish and Classical guitar performance by Paco Seco. Paco is an internationally-acclaimed guitarist and composer from Seville. He makes his art look effortless and his performances are truly awe-inspiring.

DAY 3 TRIP TO TRADITIONAL WHITE VILLAGE

We’ll head to Zahara de la Sierra, a traditional white Andalusian village perched on top of a mountain and overlooking a stunning turquoise lake. We’ll take a walk to the old Moorish fortress at the top of the hill where’ll we’ll get 360 degree views of the surrounding landscape. Afterwards, we’ll head to our favorite spot in Zahara for some delicious Andalusian home cooked grub.

DAY 4 CALL OF THE STAG

Just in time for deer mating season, we’ll take this unique opportunity to head in to the woods at dusk to listen to the call of the stag. This up-close and personal encounter with nature will leave you feeling truly humbled. We’ll also learn about the endangered Pinsapo Spanish Fir tree and the work that is being done to conserve this precious species. We’ll even get to see a few shooting stars if we’re lucky! To top it all off, we’ll enjoy a scrumptious homemade feast in a beautiful log cabin, nestled in the woods.

DAY 5 FAREWELL

It’s time to say goodbye as our adventure comes to an end! The hotel check-out time is 12 pm. We have no activities planned for the last day. Depending on your flight time, there’s the option of going for a walk in the beautiful Tajo valley, sipping coffee while you watch the world go by or checking out Ronda’s many sights.

Untitled design (37).png

You can fly to either Malaga or Seville airport. Take a 20-minute airport shuttle to Malaga or Seville bus station then take a public bus to Ronda. There are 4-5 buses each day and they both take approximately 2 hours. The price is approximately 12 Euros, one-way. The route is very easy and none of travellers this year had any problems. Once you book, we will send you all the info that you need to get here. You also have the option of joining a WhatsApp group for your trip. That way, you can coordinate with the other travellers to travel together if you wish. It’s all part of the adventure!

FOOD

Untitled design (49).png

All organised foodie activities are vegetarian friendly. If you have any specific dietary requirements, let us know on the booking form and we will try to accommodate you. It is worth pointing out that Ronda is a mountain town and therefore a little behind the big cities when it comes to alternative diets. Vegan options in restaurants can be limited so please don’t expect creative and diverse vegan dishes. Eating out is fairly inexpensive in Ronda. Tapas range from 1 Euro to 5 Euros each. A coffee costs 1-2 Euros. In the evenings, we will eat out together in some of our favorite joints. When lunch is not included in the activity of the day, you can take your pick of great local eateries. At the beginning of the trip, we will give you some suggestions. Breakfast is included in the price.
